- The sightseeing tour covers approximately 1,000 km and includes visits to provinces, districts, and cities including Colombo, Kandy, Nuwara Eliya, Badulla, Ella, Bandarawela, Monaragala, Mattala, Hambantota, Matara, Galle, and Colombo.
What's Not Included?
Exclusions in the Registration Fee
Accommodation
- Accommodation expenses are not included in the registration fee.
- Air-conditioned double-occupancy rooms are available in Sri Lanka starting from approximately USD 20 – 30 per day, depending on the hotel and location.
Airport Pickup
- Airport pickup services are not included in the registration fee. Transportation by a four-seater car from the airport to a hotel in Colombo typically costs approximately USD 25–30. Airport pickup can be arranged upon request.
Airport Drop-Off
- All delegates participating in the tour will be dropped off at the airport or their hotel at approximately 11:00 PM on December 31, 2026. Accordingly, participants may arrange their departure flights based on this schedule. For participants who wish to depart on January 01, 2027, airport drop-off can be arranged upon request.
Meal Arrangements
- Dinner on the conference days is not included in the registration fee. Meals are also not included from December 29 onward during the sightseeing tour. However, a variety of reasonably priced food options are available at hotels and nearby restaurants. During the sightseeing tour, quality meals are generally available for approximately USD 2–4 per meal, depending on individual preferences and the selected restaurant.
Facilities Arrangements
- The International Association for Quality Education (IAFQE) will assist participants with arrangements related to the excluded facilities and services.
- The total expenses during the tour, including accommodation and meals, can typically be managed within approximately USD 150, depending on individual preferences and arrangements.
- Upon request, airport pickup and drop-off, as well as five nights’ accommodation at a 4-star hotel with breakfast and Lunch can be arranged for approximately USD 150 per person, subject to availability and the selected hotel.

The International Conference on Quality Education 2025 was successfully held from May 6th to 11th, 2025, across Colombo, Bandarawela, and Kandy in Sri Lanka. This significant international event brought together approximately 25 distinguished educators from the School of Education – Kathmandu University (Nepal), along with school principals from India, and faculty members from Institute of Education and Research (IER), University of Dhaka, Bangladesh. They were joined by a large group of Sri Lankan educators, creating a dynamic platform for academic exchange and collaboration.

The International Awards granted by Hon. Kapila Jayasekara, Governor, Uva Province, Sri Lanka Mrs. J. M. Thilaka Jayasundara, Secretary, Ministry of Industry and Entrepreneurship Development, Colombo, Sri Lanka and Ms. Roshini Thomson, First Secretary – Press, Information & Culture, Indian High Commission in Sri Lanka.

2025 October: International Conference on Quality Education 2025 (4th Edition)
International Conference on Quality Education 2025
October 27th – 31st, 20225 | Sri Lanka
The International Awarding Ceremony 2025 was held at the Main Auditorium of the Provincial Council Complex on October 27th, 2025. Mr. Sandeep Chaudhary, First Secretary (Education) at the High Commission of India, attended as the Chief Guest, while the Secretary to the Governor of the Western Province served as the Guest of Honour.
On October 28th, 2025, school visits were arranged to Thanamalvila National School and Bright Kids Early Childhood Development Center. In the evening, delegates joined sightseeing activities.
On October 29th and 30th, 2025, the International Conference was held at the Uva Management Development Center with the participation of principals, directors, and teachers from the Uva Province. All foreign delegates received awards for their outstanding performance.
Ms. Anusha Gokula Fernando, Chief Secretary of Uva Province; Mr. Nihal Gunarathne, Secretary to the Ministry of Education, Uva Province; the Provincial Director of Education, Uva Province; and many distinguished guests participated in the conference held on October 29th and 30th, 2025. At the conclusion of the conference, on October 30th, 2025, a farewell dinner was hosted by the Chief Secretary of Uva Province for all foreign delegates. Mr. J. M. Senadeera, Additional Director of Education, Uva Province, provided leadership in organizing the conference together with Mr. Pupudu Jayasingha, Deputy Director of Education under the guidance of Mr. Nihal Gunarathne, Secretary to the Ministry of Education, Uva Province.
